Mr. Bearder's main areas of experience are international Construction
arbitration
and litigation. He also has had substantial experience in commercial
and financial
matters and the preparation of claims and submissions generally,
in common, codified and Islamic law jurisdictions.
Mr. Bearder has thirty years of experience preparing claims
for and representing or counseling parties in relation to international
commercial arbitrations under the rules of the International Chamber
of Commerce, ICSID, the London Court of International Arbitration
and the Nigerian Arbitration Act .
He has assisted and engaged, multi-national corporations and
banks, as well as sovereign states or their state-owned entities
(Yemen, Jordan, Irak, KSA, Qatar, Nigeria, Cameroun, Ghana,
UK, USA, Germany), in international dispute resolution.
Mr. Bearder is an authority on international construction contracts,
subcontracts, consortia, and joint venture agreements, and related
securities and guarantees. He has considerable experience in international
construction claims and disputes in relation to large, complex civil
engineering, industrial and building projects, as well as claims under
EPIC contracts in the oil and gas industry.
